Most of ESI Funds experts are well aware of the applicable rules and requirements. The real challenge is still the practical implementation of running programmes and projects. On the other hand, the Proposal for Regulartory Framework for Structural Funds 2021-2027 appeared in May 2018, which gave the first outlook into the possible changes in Management and Control System of ESI Funds in the new Programming Period. Our EStIF Interactive Forum, combining theoretical knowledge and practical experience, will enable practitioners to participate in numerous practical workshops, case studies and discussion rounds and exchange experience on the most challenging management and financial control issues, and will help them to get prepared in time for 2021-2027.

The following topics will be discussed in depth in parallel practical sessions and interactive workshops:

  • ESI Funds beyond 2020
  • How to make management verifications more effective
  • How to fulfil audit and control requirement
  • How to draw up, certify and submit annual accounts to the European Commission
  • How to calculate Simplified Cost Options - flat rates, lump sums and standard scales of unit costs
  • Performance Audit by the European Court of Auditors
  • How to make the best use of Financial Instruments within ESI Funds
  • How to handle errors, irregularities and financial corrections
  • How to design a strategy to prevent, detect and correct fraud and corruption in your institution
  • Indicators, monitoring and evaluation of ESI Funds
  • How to use ESI Funds in compliance with State aid and public procurement rules
