Overview


3-day study visit in Finland in the field of Financial Instruments. Participants from public and private authorities can become acquainted with the Finnish model of FI implementation. We offer unique opportunity to visit leading institutions and projects in Helsinki and in the city of Espoo. You will meet experts from financing agencies and representatives from a municipality. The overall aim is to collect best practice of project implementation, transfer knowledge and experience in the set-up and management of FI in Finland.

Topics & Methodology


Our brand-new format “Study-Visit” offers a useful toolbox for future successful projects for the implementation of Financial Instruments. It combines intensive training with practical on-the-spot projects.

Become acquainted with the development of FIs and Social Investment Bonds and their functioning. Besides training lessons, participants will have the opportunity to visit leading institutions and projects in Helsinki and Espoo.

You will further on meet with experts from financing institutes, development agency and representatives from regional authorities.

Participants will receive:

  • All presentations shown during the training (inclusive online access to all presentations after the training)
  • Confirmations of Participation
  • Selection of corresponding journals published by Lexxion
Travel Arrangements:

The participation fee is covering accommodation for three nights, including breakfast from 11.-14. September 2018. We will be staying at the 4*** Hotel, Holiday Inn Helsinki West.

The Lunches during the Study Visit will also be provided, and on the 12 September, we invite all our participants to a common dinner after our visit to the city of Hämeenlinna.

Also the bus transfer for the whole time of the Study Visit will be secured.

 
 
 

The use of Simplified Cost Options (SCOs) has been extended to all ESI Funds, being applicable to more projects and mandatory for small projects. As such, public officials from Managing, Certifying, Audit Authorities and Intermediate Bodies, but also beneficiaries, need to be aware of how to correctly make use of flat rates, standard scales of unit costs and lump sums.
