At Villa La Collina rooms have been blocked on a provisional basis. It is strongly recommended to stay there because the many social activities planned for the evenings - such as boat trips to Bellagio and Como or a walk to the neighbour village alongside Lake Como or up the hill to a little chapel from where one has a breathtaking view across the lake - start from the villa more or less right after the academy. Also, Villa La Collina charges a (small) extra fee for participants not staying at their premises.

The rate per single room and night is € 130,- including VAT, breakfast and dinner (the latter excludes drinks). When social activities are planned on a voluntary basis dinner is foreseen outside; in this case € 10,- of the room rate will be credited by Villa La Collina.
Lunch and coffee breaks are included in the participation fee of the Summer Academy so there will be full board.

The Surrounding Area

Lake Como is a dark blue lake of glacial origin nestling between the mountains. With its 146 square kilometres it is Italy's third largest lake and one of the deepest in Europe (400 metres).
Lake Como is well kown as a (former) retreat for aristocrats and wealthy people. Its shore is peppered with villas and palaces and one may easily consider Lake Como as one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy... and from Villa La Collina which is right across fancy Bellagio you will have the most incredible view across the water.
Please find more information about the area here.
