Overview

Our brand new format “Study-Visit” offers a useful toolbox for future successful projects for the implementation of Financial Instruments. It combines intensive training with practical on-the-spot projects. During our study visit you can see the projects co-financed from EU Funds that are implemented in different regional polish areas: Warsaw, Poznan and Gdansk.

Become acquainted with the development of FIs and their functioning in the current programming period. Besides training lessons, participants will have the opportunity to visit leading institutions and projects in Warsaw, Poznan and Gdansk. It will be prepared and conducted with one of the leading FI-specialists in Europe Mr. Marek Szczepanski. You will meet with experts from financing institutes and representatives from regional authorities.

All participants arrive on their own on 22nd of April 2018 in Warsaw *

Day 1 - Warsaw

Welcome and first meeting during the morning in the Hotel and at the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego during the afternoon. Topics and presentations during the first day:

  • Financial Instruments and JESSICA Programme in Poland
  • Special: State Aid – Guidelines, Various Levels of Application, Case Study
  • Best practice for Cooperation
  • Set-up and Implementation of the JESSICA Programme
    • Combining FIs with other financing forms
    • Call for Projects – Preparations
  • Visiting realised project:  “Hala Koszyki” (www.koszyki.com)  

Travel by bus to Poznan and finish the day with dinner together.

Day 2 - Poznan

Our meetings will take place at the Marshall Office of the Wielkopolska Region till afternoon.  Lunch will take place outside in a restaurant. The topics and presentations during the second day:

  • Financial Instruments and JESSICA Programme in region Wielkopolska
    • Management Structure and Bodies Involved
    • Implementation of the Programme
  • Case studies on Financial Instruments
  • The Urban Development Funds and the urban development strategies
    • Planning for Different Sectors and Assessment of Market Gap
    • Cooperation with the City Councils
  • Visiting realised projects in Poznan

Travel by bus to Gdansk and finish the day with dinner together.


Day 3 - Gdansk

Our meetings will take place at the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodship till afternoon.  Lunch will take place before the visiting the projects in a restaurant. The topics and presentations during the last day:

  • Financial Instruments and JESSICA Programme in region Pomerania
    • Assessment of the Market Needs
    • History of Implementation of the Programme
  • Case studies on Financial Instruments
  • Visiting realised projects in Poznan

Departure will be from Gdansk.


* Lexxion will take care of catering, hotel and bus transfer during the Study Visit.

Who should participate?

  • Legal experts and managers from managing authorities in charge of financial instruments, e.g. from ministries of finance, economic affairs and regional development
  • Experts from intermediate bodies responsible for set up and implementation of FIs
  • Fund of Funds and Holding fund managers
  • Staff from financial institutions or development agencies involved in FIs implementation
  • Employees of national promotional banks (NPBs) co-financing projects and investment platforms
  • Financial Controllers and Auditors
