Customer information on the conclusion of distance contracts

The following information on the conclusion of distance contracts does not represent contract conditions. Our contract conditions are given in our terms and conditions. You can find them on the left-hand navigation bar.

3. Conclusion of contract Our website and printe media (books, journals, programmes, advertising flyers etc.) provide information on the conditions and attributes of our products. The representation of products represents a non-binding invitation for you to order, yet not a contract offer.
By ordering (via phone, fax, E-mail, our homepage or by mail), you declare an offer to conclude a sales agreement. We will confirm the receipt of your order immediately. The receipt confirmation alone does not however constitute acceptation of your offer. We are entitled to accept the offer of your order within a period of two weeks. Further information on the conclusion of contracts is given in our general terms and conditions, which are part of the contract.
4. Subscriptions
On placing a subscription order for one of our journals, the contract is valid until cancellation of the subscription. The customer is entitled to cancel a subscription up to 6 weeks prior to the expiration of the subscription period. Invoices for journal subscriptions are issued annually in advance. Test subscribers are also entitled to cancel the subscription within 2 weeks upon receipt of the second issue of the test subscription. After expiration of this period, regular subscription cancellation conditions apply. The right of extraordinary cancellation according to legal regulations remains hereby unaffected. The publishing company is entitled to cancel a subscription at any time, providing refund for overpaid issues.
5. Delivery reservation
In the case of incorrect or improper self-supply, we reserve the right not to deliver or to only partly deliver.
6. Prices All prices indicated are final prices in EUR and include VAT unless stated otherwise. Temporarily limited subscription offers are declared as such in the representation of items on our website and in our print media. For further information, please consult our general terms and conditions.
7. Shipping and handling costs Shipping and handling costs are not included in the final prices and are charged as follows:
For standard delivery in Germany we charge EUR 3,00 per order for books and EUR 0,91 per order for single journal issues.

8. Payment form Ordered items are delivered on open account. When submitting a bank transfer, please indicate the customer and and invoice numbers given on the invoice as reason for payment on the bank transfer form.
9. Right of revocation You are entitled to revoke your declaration of intention to enter into the contract within a period of 14 days without obligation to give reasons. This revocation must be provided in written from (i.e. by mail, fax or E-mail), or by returning the item, if it was received before expiry of this period. The period begins at the point of time when the consumer has been informed in text form by a clearly drafted instruction on his right of revocation. Where goods are supplied, the period of time does not commence prior to the date of receipt by the receiver (in the case of regular delivery of similar items the period of time does not commence prior to the delivery of the first item). The period of time also does not commence prior to fulfillment of our duty to inform according to Artikel 246 § 2 in connection with § 1 Abs. 1 and 2 EGBGB as well as our duties according to § 312e Abs. 1 Satz 1 BGB in connection with Artikel 246 § 3 EGBGB. To comply with the time limit, statement of the revocation or return of the item in good time is sufficient. Revocations should be directed at:

When the consumer exercises the right of revocation, benefits have to be returned by both parties; benefits drawn (e.g. accumulated interest) must be returned where applicable. The customer must pay compensation for value for any deterioration of items or failure to return items. This does not apply in cases where deterioration is due to the examination of items as would have been possible e.g. in a retail shop. You may avoid payment of compensation for deterioration caused by putting the item to its intended use if you do not use the item like your own property, and by avoiding any other action which might lead to deterioration of value. When exercising the right of revocation, you are obliged to make return shipment of the item at our risk, if it can be sent by parcel. Where items are returned, you are obliged to bear the cost for shipping and handling, as long as the items delivered correspond to your order, and the value of the returned item does not exceed € 40,00, and in the case of value exceeding € 40,00, if you have not yet performed the return service or any payment agreed upon by contract at the time of the revocation. Otherwise, the return of items is free of charge. Items that cannot be sent by parcel will be collected at your place of residence. The period with regard to duty of reimbursement of the consumer begins when this declaration is made; the period with regard to duty of reimbursement of the entrepreneur begins when it is received. 10. Communication costs
The use of our service telephone number is charged according to the usual conditions of your telephone provider.
11. Validity period of temporarily limited offers The validity period of temporarily limited offers is given in the representation of the respective items on our homepage as well as in our print media.
12. Warranty conditions
You are entitled to claim warranty according to legal regulations. The period for warranty claims for goods is 2 years. Obvious defects must be declared in written form within a period of 2 months, otherwise the assertion of warranty claims is excluded. Information about obvious defects should be directed by E-mail at mail@lexxion.de.
We do not provide warranty beyond legal regulations.
